明代中葉的徐渭,以詩文、戲曲、書法、繪畫名於世,且在戲劇史與畫史上具重要影響與地位。文人此種詩、文、書、畫、劇皆通的現象,當與博通態度、業餘精神有關。 本文〈徐渭「文藝創作觀」對明代中葉後劇論與畫論的影響〉,以明代劇論、畫論語言互涉為主要論述,擇徐渭為論,主因在於:徐渭短劇的創作與對南戲的重視,在戲劇史開風氣之先,而其戲劇創作觀,對越中派、臨川派、吳江派、清代李漁等影響,自不待言;在畫史上,徐渭的創作觀與手法,亦影響了八大山人、石濤、揚州八怪、吳昌碩、齊白石等人。準此,可知徐文長「文藝創作觀」在明代當具重要意義與地位。
