《台海使槎錄》的史料價值與學術價值-以<番俗六考>與<番俗雜記>為例

The Historical and Academic Achievement of Taihai Shichalu-Instance Fansu Liukao and Fansu Zazi

摘要


本文以《臺海使槎錄》中之<番俗六考>及<番俗雜記>作為研究範圍,首先針對黃叔璥撰寫<番俗六考>、<番俗雜記>的問題作一全面的討論,指出<番俗六考>、<番俗雜記>的內容及寫作體例,以及黃叔璥的撰寫動機、目的、態度、方式及資料來源。其次,實際分析<番俗六考>中所載之婚嫁制度,對各個族群間的「擇偶方式」、「居處法則」及「婚姻約束力」列表比較,大致描述了「七世紀末臺灣平埔族的婚嫁制度,並透過婚嫁制度的比較研究,發現當時臺灣平埔族社會結構的多樣性,以及族群之間社會、文化的遠近關係。希望透過實際的研究來討論其史料價值。最後,針對平埔族的研究,指出<番俗六考>、<番俗雜記>的貢獻有二,分別為:「平埔族研究規模的奠定」、「平埔分族研究的開端」,以表明<番俗六考>、<番俗雜記>在平埔族研究上的學術貢獻。

The study scope includes ”Fansu Liukao” (番俗六考) and ”Fansu Zazi” (番俗雜記) from ”Taihai Shichalu” (臺海使槎錄). An overall discussion of Fansu Liukao and Fansu Zazi that were written by Huang Shujiang 黃叔璥 was conducted. It pointed out its related content and writing style as well as the motivation, purpose, attitude, applied method and information sources of Huang Shujiang. Furthermore, the described marriage system in Fansu Liukao was analyzed; a comparison between choosing spouse, living principle and marriage sanction in each tribe was listed. It described the marriage system of Pingpu Tribe in the end of the 17(superscript th) century and recognized the diversity of their social structure and the social and cultural relationship among tribes after comparing the marriage system. Its historical value was revealed in the study. Two contributions of Fansu Liukao and Fansu Zazi were reached upon focusing on the study of Pingpu Tribe; there are the establishment of study scope and the study outset. All show the academic contributions of the Pingpu Tribe.
