美國高齡者服務學習的實施與困境及其對我國的啟示

摘要

面臨高齡少子化的台灣社會，如何提升高齡者社會參與，將是台灣未來高齡社會重要的發展任務。長久以來服務學習(service-learning)被視為社會參與以及改善教育的一種形式，美國在推展服務學習概念具有源遠流長的歷史，因此，本文將以美國高齡者服務學習的運作，作為在台灣施行的啟示。首先將說明服務學習的意義與功能，其次說明美國高齡者服務學習發展過程、類型與困境，再者分析我國高齡者參與服務學習的現況，最後將對於我國拓展高齡者服務學習提出未來可行的建議。

The important development mission for the aged society to come, is to increase the social attendance of elder for the current society which is facing declining birthrate and aged in Taiwan. For a long time that service-learning is considered as a form of social attendance and education improvement. America is a country promoted the concept of service-learning for a long time, therefore this paper will illustrate the implication to Taiwan by the operation of American elder service-learning. First will show the meaning and function of service-learning, second the progress, type and difficulty of American elder service-learning development, and also analyze the current elder attendance situation about service-learning, finally propose workable suggestion for the promoting of elder service-learning in Taiwan.
