The main purpose of this study is to explore the home advantage of professional sports leagues. This article analyzes the NBA team records during the 2000-2001 to 2009-2010 seasons, which contains 11 offense or defense statstics as the analytical data. In this study, we apply MANOVA approach to verify the effect of home advantage. The result indicates that the home advantage of NBA teams does exist in the NBA games, and the team performance on the home and away are significant different. The records of field goals percentage, rebounds, points, assists, blocks, personal fouls, and turnovers are noticeable differences between the home and away. However, the records of free throw and steals are not distinctively differences between the two.
