多媒體服務機器人之開發

台灣社會走向高齡化與家庭小型化，能夠開發一款可陪伴老人與小孩一起生活之機器人是家庭主婦或必需外出工作者的最大需求，而目前國內開發之中大型機器人產品多為公眾服務用，如導覽機器人及保全機器人，其改用於協助家人執行勞務工作之能力多已具備，但在提供娛樂方面之設計卻不多見，本文以開發一套多媒體服務機器人系統為目標，此機器人之行動可接受遠端手機之控制，其中機器人本體是以一小型自走車來示意其行動能力，相關位置之確認是以紅外線反射信號之方位做為依據以確保其定位之精確度，至於機器人各分系統之整合及其導航則是以LabVIEW來設計，對於機器人之多媒體播放系統是以VLC（Video Lan Client）軟體來完成；經實際測試此多媒體服務機器人除已具備一般之保全功能外，亦可充分滿足各項娛樂功能之需求，其多媒體系統同樣可由遠端手機來操控，依需求按時提供電視節目、DVD影片及音樂給年長者與嬰幼兒觀賞，對於家人無法一直陪伴之問題已提供解決方案。

Society in Taiwan consists of aging population and nuclear families, which means insufficient manpower, so developing a service robot that accompanies the elder and children is in high demand for housewives and white-collar workers. Most of the developed medium-to-large robots are for public service, such as tour robots and security robots. The function of assisting in doing chores has been equipped, but the multimedia design is not enough. This paper aims at developing multimedia service robot, which can be controlled remotely by a cellular phone. The body of the robot consists of wheels to demonstrate its motion ability, the accuracy of its location is adjusted based on the reflected infrared signal, the integration of individual subsystems and the navigation is designed by LabVIEW, and the multimedia system is accomplished by VLC (Video Lan Client). After numerous practical tests, we confirm that this service robot is for not only security but also multimedia use. This type of media system can access or control the robot remotely and play the TV shows, DVDs, or music by request in order to overcome the difficulty of being unable to accompany families.
