音樂活動運用於廣泛性焦慮疾患學生之過程研究

The Exploratory Study of Music Activity Intervention for a Student with Generalized Anxiety Disorder

摘要


自古以來,音樂對人們的效用早已被認同。儘管音樂的運用可追溯至古羅馬、埃及時代,然而,音樂被運用於醫療照護體系卻仍是非常新穎的介入模式,音樂輔療所關注的是音樂對於個體在生理、行為、和情緒等方面所產生的變化,藉由運用具調整性的音樂、音樂本身的元素、以及音樂對個體的影響,協助身心疾病患者於治療期間的生理、心理、以及情緒上的整合。本研究以一名廣泛性焦慮疾患學生為例,共進行十四次的音樂輔療活動,目的在於提供其自我探索、情感表達、情緒紓解、以及焦慮處理的方法。研究結果指出適當地運用音樂活動:(1)可提供一種溝通及內在察覺的管道;(2)可達放鬆、降低焦慮、以及紓解壓力的效果;(3)可提供情感表達與自由聯想的機會,期能提供學校教師及臨床醫護人員於輔導或治療時的參考。

Throughout history music has been used for its beneficial influence on people. Although music has been used to decrease anxiety and discomfort thousands of years, there were few studies in the healthcare settings and as an alternative therapy. Music therapy is concerned with the use of music to produce changes in physiology, behavior, and emotion. The mechanism of music therapy is by controlling the music melody, its elements, and its influences on human beings to integrate the physiological, psychological, and emotion functions of an individual during the treatment of an illness or disability. The participant of the present study was a student with generalized anxiety disorder. Fourteen sessions of music therapy were used to identify the detail processes of changes in self-exploration, emotional expression and anxiety management. The results of the study indicated that used the music activity intervention properly: (1) builded a good way for communication and self-awareness; (2) attained to relax, decrease anxiety and stress; and (3) provided the opportunity of the poeitire emotional-expression and free association of thought. The findings and suggestions are provided for school counselors and clinical healthcare professionals in their practice.
