成人參與環境永續行動的整全思惟與設計探詢

Holistic Perspectives and Design Inquiry of Adult Engagement in Environmental Actions

摘要


隨著環境生態議題受到全球的關注,重建環境保護、經濟發展與社會發展的平衡關係已成為世界各國推廣環境教育及生態永續的迫切任務,許多全球在地化的社群與組織以不同的方式投入環境永續行動,例如各種環境保護組織、有機農業村、生態社區或生態村。他們積極實踐和諧共生的理念,提供各種活動、課程、方案與計劃行動讓社會公眾有多元的體驗學習。然而,這些眾多環境教育或生態體驗課程及方案中內容或形式相當多元化與多樣性,但長期性的人才培訓仍較有限,社會大眾若欲深入地學習及參與,往往囿於過度多元且不連貫的學習活動。因此,如何讓社會公眾有多元且長程的環境與生態體驗乃至永續行動的參與,實有賴成人整全環境教育方案的設計與建構。本文首先探究為何環境教育需要整全的思惟與行動,其次探討成人環境教育的本質與內涵,以及成人對話學習與公眾永續行動參與的關聯。最後,提出成人環境教育之整全設計探詢,以回應國內外諸多學者倡導的深層環境教育及生態人文社會的整全環境教育需求。

While more and more countries are challenged in facing environmental and ecological crisis, urges of balancing ecological protection, economic development and social development are echoed in many global societies. In view of the numerous sustainability actions and ecological experiential programs being so divergent and lacking integral design, the authors took the wholeness-praxis approach to uncover the essence of wholeness environmental education and the adults' holistic learning needs. This study aims to collaboratively design holistic environmental adult education programs with the green-praxis communities and related experiential activities with its volunteers. It focuses on organizing sustainability enacting teams for creating greater engagement from the public with closer and more creative collaboration among the green-praxis communities. It is expected that the public's engagement in participatory design and wholeness praxis of environmental adult educational programs would foster their green awareness and deepen their green engagement with greater sincerity, shared visions and generative power. It is also anticipated that the public would be enabled to design their own holistic environmental action plans through deeper engagement and creative collaboration in sustainability.
