論康有為思想對今日通識教育之啟迪

Inspiration on Modern General Education from You-Wei Kang

摘要


在康有為的學說裏,教育活動對於人類的發展,具有重要意義。教育不僅是培育個人之才智,同時有助於人們遵守共同的規範制度,讓人們一起構築善良有序的大同社會。因此,他努力倡揚學習的重要,建議各行各業的人都要接受教育,其備基礎知識,且各自有其專業技能。對於大學教育他則指出,應投注德智體等各方面的發展,多元性的兼顧於禮儀規範的道德教育、妙舞鼓樂之藝術教育、實用技術之智能教育,以及操練銅筋鐵骨之體育。康有為此種教育理念,正呼應著今日社會對通識教育的期待,學生在學有專精的同時,應具足核心通誠的智識能力,能知書達禮且行仁守義。本文首先論述人禽之辨由教育之展現開始,接著再由康有為的學說思想裏,與通識教育相關聯之觀點來予以闡述,包括:經典教育、情感教育、性別平等以及實用教育等面向。希冀透過康有為的教育思想,能對現代通識教育有新的省思與啟發。

Educational activities are important to human development. Through education one can increase his wisdom and cultivate his virtues, these are helpful to establish Datong society. From the point of view, You-Wei Kang advocated everyone accepts education, learning core curriculum and possess skills. School education especially for institutions of higher learning must focus on moral education, intellectual education physical exercises and practical techniques. This perspective conforms to ideal of general education. This paper firstly discusses education is the distinction between the nature of human beings and whole creations. Secondarily elucidates Kang's classics' education, emotional education, gender education and practical education. Finally reflects modern general education from the doctrine of Kang.
