「父母言語動機量表」之編製—以國中生為例

The Construction of Parents' Verbal Motivations Scale-An Example of Junior-High-School Students

摘要


背景和目的:在傳統中國家庭中,父母常習慣以「言責」的方式來達到管教目的,並想藉以傳達「為了你好」的善意動機,但子女是否真能體會?故本研究主要目的即為,探討國中生知覺父母「正負向言語動機」之情形,並進行「父母言語動機量表」之編製。方法:第一階段以「半結構式訪談法」進行;第二階段則以「問卷調查法」進行之,以檢驗自編「父母言語動機量表」之信效度。結果:將「父母正向言語動機量表」分成三個因素—「有條件且敷衍的」、「支持鼓勵我」、「以我為榮」;將「父母負向言語動機量表」分成三個因素-「就是看我不滿意」、「為了我好」、「純粹開玩笑」,且量表具備良好的內部一致性。結論:本研究自編之「父母言語動機量表」具備良好的信效度,且國中生在知覺父母的正負向言語內容時,亦可能知覺到其背後不同言語動機之類型。

In traditional Chinese families, parents usually express their good intentions through the way of ”scolding” to achieve their purpose for discipline. However, children seem to have difficulty in understanding parents' good intentions. Accordingly, the main goal of the study investigated the perceptions of parents' positive/negative verbal disciplines and motivations in the junior-high-school sample. In this study, the reliability and validity of the ”Parents' Verbal Motivations Scale, PVMS” was established. PVMS included three positive motivation subscales, namely ”conditional and perfunctory, ” supporting and encouraging me, ” ”proud of me, ”and three negative motivation subscales, namely ”dissatisfied with me, ” ”for my benefits, ” ”merely joking. ” The study showed PVMS has good reliability and validity; meanwhile, the structure and meaning of the PVMS also be discussed in this study.
