摘要

全球人口應用傳統／替代醫藥作為基層醫療照護之用日增。在臺灣，中國傳統醫藥已是主流醫學的一部分，這份成就與經驗使臺灣成為全球的領先地位，吸引各國專家前來觀摩學習。研討會由衛生署中醫藥委員會所舉辦，包含本國共23國的國際交流活動，分享臺灣的經驗和發展模式，並吸取他國發展的優勢，強化友邦醫藥衛生交流，提升臺灣傳統／替代醫藥國際形象。

Populations throughout the world use traditional medicine to help meet their primary health care needs. The practice of traditional medicine (TM) varies widely, in keeping with the societal and cultural heritage of different countries. Taiwan's traditional medicine has become a part of its mainstream healthcare for many years. The achievements and experiences have let Taiwan become a vanguard globally. This symposium marks Taiwan's largest exchange activity in terms of the number of traditional medicine personnel coming to Taiwan from overseas. Besides sharing experiences and developmental model of Taiwan's traditional medicine, the program will further assist other countries pursuing the development of their own traditional medicine to construct a related management system. It will also aid in strengthening medical and health cooperation between Taiwan and its diplomatic allies, while raising the international image of Taiwan's health standards.
