Inverted Urothelial Papilloma in Urinary Bladder: A Case Report

摘要

We report a case of urinary bladder inverted urothelial papilloma (IUP) that occurred in a 52-year-old man. A pedunculated polypoid tumor measuring 3.7 x 2.7 x 2.3 cm in size, located in the left posterior wall of urinary bladder, was found in his cystoscopic and computerized tomogram (CT) examinations. He received a transurethral resection for the bladder tumor. The bladder tumor showed microscopically an IUP characterized by anastomosing cords and trabeculae arising from the surface urothelium and invaginated into the lamina propria. The tumor cells displayed no nuclear atypia. Immunohistochemical study supported that this tumor was differentiated with a benign nature. The man experienced no tumor recurrence in the following years.

我們報告一例膀胱倒轉泌尿上皮乳頭狀瘤，發生於一位五十二歲男性。膀胱鏡和電腦斷層檢查中顯示在膀胱左後壁有一個3.7 x 2.7 x 2.3 cm突起腫瘤。病患接受經尿道手術切除膀胱腫瘤，顯微鏡下顯示為一膀胱倒轉泌尿上皮乳頭狀瘤，它是一個由泌尿道上皮向內增生，成交通式帶狀排列的腫瘤。免疫組織化學染色檢查支持此腫瘤屬於良性分化。後續追蹤這病患並沒有腫瘤覆發的情況。
