摘要

英國十九世紀小說家珍•奧斯丁的作品一直以來受到全球讀者喜愛，尤以「傲慢與偏見」一書，最爲人所稱道。婚姻與人物一直爲前人研究重點。然而，卻缺乏人物、婚姻與現實生活的比較。本文針對書中四種不同的婚姻結合進行探討，觀察各個姻緣的型態，人物性格與現代人婚姻的討論比較。四種婚姻型態包括務實型、衝動型、理想型與浪漫型。結論爲人物性格是造成婚姻型態的最主要因素，其次爲外力衝擊。

Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice has been very popular around the world in the past two hundred years. Critics have been interested in looking into plots, settings, marriages and characters in the novel. However, few have compared those with modern lives. This paper intends to compare the four marriages (practical, impulsive, idealistic and romantic) and characters with modern people and marriages. In conclusion, personalities are the crucial element while pursuing a marriage as well as keeping it.
