摘要

呼吸治療師除呼吸照護基本業務、參與醫療團隊合作外，另一層重要的角色是協助呼吸器依賴患者功能之重建，使他們在生活能力受限下，身心能達最大功能，以期提高生活品質。“溝通”對於使用呼吸器患者是極難完成的課題，不止對病患本身、對照護他的人員亦然，因此，無法使用口語進行溝通是照顧此類病患的最大問題。對於意識清楚之病患，若可藉由發聲器材而再度進行言語溝通，除可清楚提供患者當下的需求訊息外，亦可滿足心理層面之所需，進而提升其生活品質，但是如何選擇合適的語言發聲設備及呼吸器該如何設定是我們呼吸治療師需自我提升的專業，如此才能提供病患更完善的照護。

The daily job duties for RT except respiratory cure and participate medical team work, the more important role play is to assist ventilator-dependent patients to rebuild their physiological functions, to optimize their mental and physical functions under their limited living abilities so as to improve their life quality. For ventilator-dependent patients; to communicate is a very difficult course to accomplish, not only for patients themselves but also for people taking care them, so the most difficult problem for taking care ventilator-dependent patients is oral communication. If it can be facilitated by vocal devices to assist ventilator-dependent patients with clear consciousness to conduct communication; then it not only becomes easier to understand patients' demand, in the mean time, also can satisfy the patients' mental condition and improve the life quality. But how to select the adequate vocal devices and set the accompanied ventilator's readings are RT's responsibilities, RTs need to progress this kind of skill so as to provide well-arranged cares to patients.
