「倉頡作書」及其相關傳說探析

摘要

本文以「倉頡作書」及其相關傳說為研究對象，探討了許慎對於文字起源諸說的思考與安排；又自傳世文獻中梳理出倉頡的兩種身份：上古帝王與黃帝史官以及推測這兩種身份出現之因。並將「倉頡作書」所依仿的對象，分成以下三種類型：「鳥跡」型、「龜文」型、「仰觀」、「俯察」複合型。「倉頡作書」及相關傳說在混合了「河出圖，洛出書，聖人則之」的敘述之後，出現了「蒼頡效象洛龜」、「蒼頡視龜而作書」、「受河圖綠字，俯察龜文而創文字」的講述，這使得「倉頡作書」及其相關傳說成為結合天賜文字與文化英雄造字的文字起源傳說。

We ues words to communicate with each other, and some of us may think the origin of words. According to Chinese myths, the farmous is the Cangjie legend, who invented Chinese characters. Cangjie is said to be an emperor of prehistory, and sometimes an official historiographer of Huang-Di in mythical history. Cangjie invented written words by observing ”footprints of birds and beasts”, ”turtles' shells” and mourtains and rivers. The Cangjie legend includes two types of the origin of words: (1) Heaven gives words to human. (2) Culture hero invented words.
