氣象因子對臺東地區柳杉與樟樹人工林生長之影響

Effects of Climatic Factors on Tree Growth of Two Plantation Species, Cryptomeria japonica and Cinnamomum camphora, at Taitung Area

摘要


本研究探討人工林林木生長與氣象因子之關係,並以臺灣臺東地區柳杉(Cryptomeria japonica)及樟樹(Cinnamomum camphora)兩種人工林造林樹種為材料,透過樹幹解析、圓盤取樣計算生長量資料後,探討不同齡階生長速率之變化。此外,並搭配該區長期氣象資料,以Pearson相關分析探究氣象因子對林木生長之影響。研究結果顯示,柳杉的徑向生長及樹高生長與降雨日數及日照時數皆呈正相關;而樟樹的樹高生長與降雨日數呈正相關,但徑向生長與氣象因子則並無顯著關聯。上述兩種樹種之生長皆受水分供給頻率所影響,顯見氣象對不同林木生長有不同程度的影響,而此研究結果亦可作為人工林生長期間施行撫育之參考依據。

Tree growth is affected by many factors, and climate is one of the most important ones. To clarify and understand the correlation between climate and tree growth is essential for forest management. This research selected two tree species, Sugi (Cryptomeria japonica) and Camphor tree (Cinnamomum camphora), grown in Taitung area for the study. Stem discs were taken and growth traits were measured to analyze correlation between climatic factors and tree growth. The results showed that diameter and height of Sugi were significantly correlated with raining days and sunshine hours in a positive fashion. Only height of Camphor tree was positively correlated with raining days. Results suggest that climatic factors affect varied tree parts of the tested tree species to different extents. Such information is useful for managing plantation trees during their growth period.
