Improved Delay-Dependent Robust Stability Criteria for Neutral Uncertain Systems with Time-Varying Delay

This paper considers the stability analysis problem for neutral-type systems with both time-varying delays and norm-bounded parameter uncertainties. Firstly, the new augmented Lyapunov functional is constructed by employing the delayed decomposition approach (DDA). Then based on the Lyapunov stability theory and integral inequality approach (IIA), the novel delay-dependent stability conditions are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) with fewer decision variables than the existing ones. Moreover, the stability criteria are extended to deal with the robust stability of neutral-type uncertain systems with time-varying structured uncertainties. Numerical examples show that the proposed method is more effective than some existing ones.
