COMPARATIVE STUDY ON SHORT-CIRCUIT IMPEDANCE CALCULATION METHOD OF CONTROLLABLE REACTOR OF TRANSFORMER TYPE

摘要

It is crucial to calculate short-circuit impedance accurately for the theory analysis of controllable reactor of transformer type (CRT). In this paper, calculation principle of three typical methods, which are self-mutual impedance method, short-circuit impedance method and finite element method (FEM), are analysed. Then, take the concentric CRT for example, calculation error of the three methods is verified by experiment. Besides, the three calculation methods are compared in multi-aspect, including computational complexity, applicability, accuracy, calculation error, etc. The results indicate that the short-circuit impedance method is simple and the most suitable method in the engineering calculation of simple structures. Although the self-mutual impedance method has more computational complexity than the short-circuit impedance method, the core saturation, eddy current and skin effect can be considered in the calculation of it. FEM takes the longest calculation time, but it is the closest method to real value, besides, it has wide applicability and high precision, especially, in the calculation of complex structures, and can get losses and magnetic flux distribution. The comparison of the three methods employed to calculate the short-circuit impedance is illustrated detailedly in combination with the results shown in this paper.
