技專校院圖書館使用行為及需求分析－以景文技術學院為例
Analysis of Users' Behavior and Needs in Vocational College and Institute Library-Case Study of Jin-Wen Institute
摘要
自86學年至90學年度許多專科學校陸續轉型升格為技術學院，圖書館均是學校改造的重點組織，不僅館藏書籍數量需達十萬冊以上之水準，服務品質亦要求相對提高，要做好教學及研究之支援工作，圖書館對使用者使用狀況及需求一定要能完全掌握，故必須實施使用及需求調查分析。本研究以景文技術學院圖書館為例，分析906位學生使用圖書館之行為，結果發現大部分學生屬被動使用者，並以中文圖書、期刊及報紙為主要借閱型態；定期使用網際網路者已逐漸比僅借閱書籍者前往圖書館更為頻繁，但其使用光碟資料庫或電子期刊之比例卻相對偏低；學生對視聽資料之使用不再侷限於教學類，而對於電影欣賞及休閒娛樂類更有興趣。至於學生對中文圖書之需求之語文及應用社會類為主，西文書則以藝術及語言類為主，可能與本校學生之科系背景有關；使用者希望圖書館能放寬借書之時間及冊數，視聽資料可以外借，並要求提供列印設備及設置研究小間，由此顯示學生對圖書館之服務品質仍有相當之期待，圖書館未來若能以此作為參考改進之目標，應可提高學生使用圖書館之意願。

There have been many colleges up-scaled to Institutes of Technology since 1997. Library in these colleges increasingly become more important as part of the organizational reformation and reengineering. In order to enhance the quality of services, it is required for a library to implement a survey study to explore users' needs and interests. This study samples 906 students from Jin-Wen Institute of Technology to analyze their needs and use of library. The results show a good deal of useful information and bring some references and ideas to the library to improve quality of services and process of operations. More importantly, we believe that if library can refer the study results as performance targets to improve service operations with, students will then be better motivated to use library more frequently.
