設計管理與設計教育問題之探討-以我國大專院校空間設計類科畢業生為例

摘要


一個設計的流程需要處理來自業主、廠商、公司及專案者等各方面的資訊,面對這些大大小小的資訊時,設計管理的能力就顯得特別重要。台灣的設計教育著重於學習設計的基本能力,缺乏以設計管理能力為導向的課程規劃,學生在學校所學與企業界所需的專業能力時有所出入。尤其在設計專業的管理能力上,對於社會新鮮人而言,通常需要透過多次的社會經驗才能對設計專案做有效的管理。 設計管理主要著重於專案管理與設計決策或控制設計專案進度與成本的技巧方法為主;設計專業的管理業務方面則包含:企劃管理、附帶業務管理及經營顧問管理等三方面。在設計的過程中,包含許多的管理與決策行為,透過各項活動的整合,才能使設計創新並完整、減少工程成本,並創造更高的利潤。 大專院校空間設計類科可分為:空間設計系、室內設計系、室內空間設計系等。其教育目標大多在培養專業設計人才,提升學生之美成及人文素養為主。學校課程除專業科目外,大多以培養學生藝術、美學、人文等素養方面來規劃。本文將針對大專院校空間設計類科之教學課程與業界空間設計公司之設計管理之間做一初步之研究,提出設計管理相關知識及能力需求,並藉由相關研究提供畢業之學生於業界工作時對設計管理的瞭解及其自我成長。

A design process shall deal with various kinds of information associated with the vendors, the manufacturers, the companies and the professionalisms. While facing with any information, the ability of design management would seem to be very important. The design education in Taiwan is focusing on the basic capability of learning design but lacking the courses planned for cultivating the design management competence. What students learning from the schools are quite different from the professionalisms required by the enterprisers in the real world, especially for the capabilities of professional design management. For college graduates just entering into the society for works, they just could effectively manage the design after acquiring more social experiences for years. The design management mainly emphasis on the methods and skills associated with the project management and the design strategy or the schedule and cost control. The scope of professional design management includes two major fields such as the planning together with the business management and the management consulting. During the design process that containing various and many management and decision-making behaviors, the design would only be entirely accomplished and innovated, and the construction cost would be reduced for ultimately generating higher profits through the integration of any activities. The courses offered by colleges and universities in Taiwan concerning the space design could be classified into the space design department, the interior design department and the interior space design department with the major educational objectives of cultivating professional design talents and enhancing the aesthetic and humanistic perceptions of students. In addition to the special field of studies, those courses are planned from the aspects of enhancing students’ autistic, aesthetic and humanistic accomplishments. This study is to conduct the preliminary investigations on the relevant space design courses provided by colleges and universities and the design management undertaken by design companies for proposing the relevant knowledge and required capabilities relating to the design management, which further would be furnished to the graduated students for their better understandings of design management and self-growths at works.
