探討現行中學教師甄選口試之概況-應試者觀點

Discussion on Interview for High School Teacher Selection-The Viewpoints of Applicants

摘要


本研究旨在以應試者觀點探討現行中學教師甄選口試之概況。以本研究自編之「中等學校教師甄選口試調查問卷」,針對93年度台北縣及高雄縣教育局辦理之中等教師聯合甄選之應試者,進行調查分析,有效樣本1995人。根據資料分析結果發現: (1)應試者的事前準備:1.近二成的應試者曾於考前蒐集口試委員背景及學校相關資料,而有七成會蒐集以前的口試題目。2.超過四成擔心有人企圖利用紅包干擾口試的公平性,二成四的曾向他人詢問是否有人情關說介入的情形,而真正曾請人幫忙關切的不到7%。3.超過八成關切口試當天的穿著打扮以及應對方式,並曾向他人請教。4.應試者認為教師甄選口試,較為重要的輔助訊息依序為:個人基本資料、傑出表現、獎狀或證明、教學檔案、教學經歷證明。 (2)對口試委員的滿意程度:1.約九成五的應試者認為口試委員提問的態度非常認真。2.八成八認為口試委員所提的問題具有專業水準。3.約六成認為口試委員評分公平客觀。4.約五成不認為口試委員具有預設立場。5.近七成覺得口試委員對其所不懂的問題會予以提示。7.超過五成認為口試委員會做筆記。6.三成七以上均被問及是否願意擔任學校中的特定職務。8.不到一成覺得在口試過程中,曾經發生令人不愉快的事。9.針對口試委員提問的內容,依次是問題情境解決方式、背景問題、教師專業理念與知識相關問題、自我描述、自我評價以及未來期望相關問題。10.每位應試者口試時間為6-10分鐘,八成四認為時間足夠。 (3)口試的公平性:1.超過五成五的應試者認為教師甄選口試可公平客觀地甄選出優秀的教師。2.超過八成清楚此次甄選流程與方式,有七成滿意此流程與方式。3.五成八滿意自己在口試中的表現。4.五成四認為口試成績佔總成績的21~40%較為適當。5.為杜絕教師甄選口試的不公平,近八成認為須「訂定標準透明化的口試流程」,其餘依次為:宣導公平、公正的觀念、對口試委員予以標準化訓練及強制增聘外校口試委員。

The purpose of this study is to discuss the interview for high school teacher selection. This study used self-developed instrument, ”questionnaire on interview for high school teacher selection,” and surveyed applicants of the 2004 union high school teacher selections held by Education Bureau of Taipei County and of Kaohsiung County. The number of valid samples is 1995. The results showed that: 1. Over 40% of the applicants are concerned about others using bribery to affect the fairness of the exam, 24% of the applicants have asked others if some applicants use personal influence for favor, and less than 7% actually have lobbied illegally. 2. About 60% of the applicants believe that the interviewers' grading is fair, over 55% believe that the interview could select good teachers fairly. 3. About 70% of the applicants are satisfied with the exam process. 4. About 54% of the applicants believe that the interview score should be 21~40% of the total score. 5. Applicants believe that the supplementary information in sequence of its influence should be personal profile, excellent performance, certificates or awards, portfolio, and records of teaching experience. 6. Applicants believe that the questions asked by the interviewers are scenario-based problem solving, personal background, professional principles and knowledge, self-introduction, self-evaluation, and future prospects. 7. Nearly 80% of the applicants believe that the most important measure to prevent the unfairness of interviews is establishing standardized and public exam process. Other measures in sequence of importance are promoting concept of fairness, standardizing training of interviewers, and mandating participation of interviewers from outside the school.
