摘要

雲端運算是被期待已久要將計算視為一種公用設施的新名詞，它是最近突然浮現且發展成型的一種新計算模式，將提供給商業客戶可信賴、客製化、保證服務品質的動態、可擴展計算環境。雲端運算支援數目最多的使用者與最少資源的靈活服務，眾多可擴展伸縮的IT設備經由網路包裝為服務型式。於是，雲端運算能根據用戶需求處理巨量資料與提供一個由軟體、硬體、處理、以及儲存組成的複雜基礎架構而在IT產業界風行。本論文介紹雲端運算的概念，導入一個雲端運算的層次架構及其服務模式，提出雲端運算的特性，最後討論著名的雲端服務供應商－亞馬遜企業推出的Amazon Web Services。

Cloud computing is a new term for a long-held dream of computing as a utility, which has recently emerged and developed as a new computing paradigm to provide reliable, customized and quality of service guaranteed dynamic computing environment for business customers. Cloud computing supports the maximum number of user and elastic service with the minimum resource where massively scalable IT-enabled capabilities are provided as a service over the network. Thus, Cloud computing can handle massive data as per on demand basis and provide a complex infrastructure of software, hardware, processing, and storage that is popular in Information Technology (IT). This paper introduces the Cloud computing concept, gives an overview of Cloud computing layered architecture and also its service models, presents the characteristics of Cloud computing, and finally discusses the famous Cloud services provider-Amazon Web Services.
