袁瓊瓊〈瘋〉-文中的瘋狂女性-梁老太太廣泛地涵括了眾多被收編在家庭之中的女性人物的樣貌,反映出女性在婚姻中遭受父權強烈奴役與剝削,扮演著男性主體的他者角色,她的成就期望和價值被嚴重窄化,只能日復一日地從事家務,失去自我發展的機會與信心。 於是,在受盡梁老先生的虐待與傷害後,梁老太太開始產生渴望財富的瘋癲行爲。而梁老太太的瘋癲行徑,正好顯示女性在經濟上的匱乏與難以自主,且經濟匱乏更標示出她所遭受到的內囿困境和內心的恐懼與不安。同時,在梁老太太痴狂癲傻行徑下,也相對地蘊含對父權體制的控訴以及女性主體意識的暗湧。瘋癲使她們對社會道德價值產生懷疑,吐露長期以來被壓抑的話語,表達了自身的感受與意義。
Mrs. Liang is a mad female role in ”Mad”. She just reflects many suffering faces of married women. When women get married, they are enslaved and ill treated by patriarchy. They spend lives in servitude. Man is the Subject and the essential, but woman is just the Other and the inessential. The female role, Mrs. Liang, shows a phenomenon that women have been defined as housekeepers by narrowing their ambition and value. They lose the confidence and chance to develop the individual self. Furthermore, Mrs. Liang's mad behaviors reveal that women are in financial difficulties, deeply worried and anxious. Additionally, her mad behaviors also convey that women accuse patriarchy of enslaving their life and query the moralities of society. Women's mad behaviors confide indirectly their own feelings and value although they don't convey definitely that women want to be the Subject.
