Psychosocial care is an important component of hospice palliative care. Clinical psychologists can be one of members in medical care team and provide appropriate care for terminal patients and families based on the training of clinical psychology. However, clinical psychologists need relevant on-the-job training. This article addressed the issues about the functions of clinical psychologists in hospice palliative care, barriers in working, essential abilities, educational training program, and training methods. The contents of educational training were also provided for future training.
