摘要

本文從「由聖到俗」、「由簡到繁」、「承衍與訛變」三個不同面向，分別討論《大唐三藏取經詩話》一書與「西遊」故事流傳有關的三個論題。一是由《詩話》一書探討「西遊」故事中有關唐僧之「人物形象」演變的問題；一是經由《詩話》各節故事內容的審視，探討其與《西遊》等書之間的關聯性；一是通過書中之若干詞語，探究作者在文學之接受與傳播上的態度，藉以說明《詩話》一書在「西遊源流史」上不可取代之重要性。

This article attempts to analyze the three seminal issues in the relationship between DatangSanzangqujingshihua (大唐三藏取經詩話) and Journey to the West (西遊記): from sacred to mundane; from simple to complex in dealing with details; and from acceptance of matrix story to transformation and further development of it. In more details, the emphasis will be placed on three aspects of these two works: characterization of Hsuanchuang (玄奘); the relationship of story transformation between Shihhua and the Journey; and finally, the wording and phrasing which lead to the acceptance of the works and their circulation, so as to illustrate the importance of Shihua on the history of reading and acceptance of the Journey.
