本文據《成唯識論》探討作為大乘通義的人、法二執和煩惱、所知二障的兩種生起方式的其中一項,即與俱生起對比的分別起(vikalpita)。以此為題的原因是從傳統以修道斷障為目的之學理研習來看,分別起的執與障由於不是最根本的,所以在討論中常常點到為止,罕作深入探討,本文試圖對「分別起」的意思及其複雜性和重要意義提出一定說明以正視之。本文對「分別起」的探討包括以下環節:一,「分別起」的定義;二,分別起與煩惱心所的相應關係,討論的重點放在唯依分別起的煩惱心所,即根本煩惱中的五惡見;三,在與俱生起對比下進一步探討分別起的性質;最後是小結。
This is a study on ideological initiation (vikalpita), which is one of the two initiating patterns of grasping on the self and phenomena, along with the defiled and cognitive obstructions then caused, according to Cheung Wei Shih Lun. "Ideological Initiation" is addressed in this article to restore its importance from the long-term underestimate in the doctrinal studies. The underestimate is due to the assumption that if compare with the role of inborn initiation (sahaja) of grasping and obstructions, the ideological initiation seems as-if less damage than the inborn initiation, for it can be removed much earlier and easier than the latter on the path of spiritual cultivation. The article is composed of following sections: firstly, definition of ideological initiation; secondly, the co-relationship between ideological initiation and defiled mental factors (especially five wrong views); thirdly, further analysis on ideological initiation, in contrast with its inborn counterpart. Finally, is the conclusion.
