A CMOS charge pump boost converter with simple circuit structure and low cost has become a compact power supply for the power management of the most mixed-signal integrated circuits. To improve the power conversions efficiently, in this paper, the main components within charge pump boost converter consist of the reference voltage source, error (OP) amplifier, comparator, buffer, the core charge pump circuit and divider feedback circuit are analyzed and discussed in detail. The CMOS charge pump boost converter has been fabricated with a standard TSMC 0.35 um 2P4M process. Experimental results show that the chip area is 0.984×0.984 mm^2, power dissipation about 12.9 mW, can operate with input supply voltage from 1.6V to 2V, can provide 10 mA maximum load current, and output voltage regulated at 3V.
