The accelerating speed of global regional economic integration increasingly threatens Taiwanese economy. Especially, after ASEAN plus one, plus three, plus six alliances are established, policy makers and industrial managers should pay much more attention to this impact on Taiwan. As regional economic integration also causes a strong impact on other countries, we can follow the strategies of other countries to enhance our competitiveness, so that our country will be added to the next ASEAN plus N. For this reason, this study intends to explore South Korea and India's strategies for joining ASEAN, which may provide policy implications for Taiwanese government and other countries as well. Finally, this paper presents conclusions and suggestions for industries in anticipating Taiwan's inclusion of ASEAN plus N, which carries a new outlook for Taiwan.
