試探礁溪協天廟祭典音樂

A Preliminary Study on the Ceremonial Msuic at the Xietien Temple in Jiaoxi

臺灣崇奉「關羽」之廟宇有數百座之多,各廟宇對武聖關公之祭典儀式不一而足;唯獨礁溪協天廟春秋兩季之祭典日及儀式之制定,是由當地之賢者,經由考究古籍方訂出農曆正月十三日、六月二十四日為春秋二祭日;並遠赴臺北孔廟考察祭孔「大成樂章」之音樂,將之制定為「忠義樂章」;並遵照古禮之「八佾舞」將之改編成「四佾舞」〈參考福州武廟之武佾舞譜〉;在典禮中行「上香禮」之際,節目穿插「本地歌仔」之「大調」、「大七字」、「吟詩調」等由詩人林萬榮先生作詞,張月娥老師根據民間老藝人口述、吟唱所採集錄製之旋律,譜成「武聖讚歌」,以及臺灣民謠改編曲等,本文特加以解析。莊嚴肅穆的祭典進行時配合著歌、舞、樂齊演展現出民眾對武聖關公的高度崇敬,並發揮了極高的本土性人文素養。礁溪「協天廟」春秋二季之祭典典禮,動員了眾多社區人力,民眾們扶老攜幼,自發自如的參與。這種廟宇的活動與社區居民緊密的結合,提昇了社區居民的人文素質;況且本土音樂文化的精髓,在此祭典中淋漓盡致的展露。

Hundreds of temples worship Guanyu in Taiwan and the ceremonies vary greatly by the temple. The Xietien Temple in Jiaoxi eclipses the others by having two services during the year: the spring service and the autumn service. The service procedure was determined by the local people who consulted Chinese classics, the Confucius service at Taipei Confucius Temple, and the Martial dance at Guanyu Temple in Fujou. The dates were set to be the thirteenth of the first month and the twenty-fourth of the sixth month in the lunar calendar. The Zhongyi symphony is an adaptation of Darchen symphony and the four-yi dance follows the traditional form. Since the incense-offering ceremony takes quite a long time, it is interspersed with Dadiao, Dar-seven-word and Yinshidiao, of which the lyrics were written by Lin Wonrong and the music by Zhang Yueer, who composed the Praise for the Soldierly Saint following the music by local traditional artists and Taiwanese folksongs. The ceremony, accompanied by songs, dance, and music, demonstrated the respect of the local people towards the great saint Guanyu. When the ceremony is held at Xietien Temple in Jiaoxi, the local people automatically come and join the cerebration. This kind of temple-related activity is tied with the community life. Music and cultural traditions get passed down to future generations.
