我國技職校院通識教育的困境與因應之道

The Problems and the Solutions of the General Education at the Institutes of Technology

摘要


本文根據課程理論及通識教育的理念研究後發現,要落實我國技職院校通識教育,首須適度調整課程架構,加強師資培育,與導正輕視人文、崇尚升學主義及功利主義心態。其次,學校本身在正式課程方面,必須全面推行通識意涵的教學方式;在潛在課程方面,也要積極營造多元化的通識教育環境,包括健全學校組織架構及其運作方式、建造高格調的校園環境、營造自由民主的校園文化、發揮導師制的角色功能、鼓勵學生參加社團的活動,積極推動學生住宿的生活輔導等相關的軟硬體措施。最後,也是最重要的,全校師生必須建立共識,肯定通識教育的價值和必要性。

The purpose of this paper is to explore the problems and the solutions of the general education at the institutes of technology. After carefully studying, we found that the crises of the general education include the curriculum, the teaching faculty, and the social and educational structure. Thus, the solutions of improving the general education must be based on (1) the formal curriculum, including the improvement of curriculum structure, teachers' and students' attitudes toward the general education, and the innovation of teaching methods; and (2) the hidden curriculum including the campus environment, school organization and its operation systems, democratic campus culture, tutor system, extra-curricular activities, and school dormitory life. Finally, we also found that how to establish an identity spirit on the value and necessity of the general education is of great importance.
