摘要

《陰符經》，全稱為《黃帝陰符經》，舊題黃帝撰。然有關此經之成書年代與作者，歷來眾說紛紜，莫衷一是。該經歷代為文人修士所重視，註解頗多，《道藏》中即收錄有註解二十家。然各家對該經要旨之解說，或視之為兵家權謀之書，或以道家思想解之，或以儒家性理釋之，或以內丹功法析之，各不相同。比較而言，其中以《陰符經》為道家修煉之書的看法為最多，蓋《陰符經》中即有「知之修煉是謂聖人」之言。本文視《陰符經》乃修道之經典，其宗旨乃道家修煉方法。開經首句「觀天之道，執天之行，盡矣。」即開宗明義地指出修道之要訣。修道須知道，「觀天之道」即在知道，觀而能知天道之奧妙，「執天之行」即修道，依天道以行人道，率人道以合天道。合而言之，即經文所云：「立天之道，以定人也。」能依此而知之修煉者，就是聖人。若能真正做到「觀天之道，執天之行」，就能了知天道之奧秘，掌握變化之機，竊陰陽五行之氣，奪造化之權，最後達到「宇宙在乎手，萬化生乎身」天人合一之境界。

Once you know what Tao is, then you must follow the way of Tao’s divine law, which is the most principle of Tao-cultivation. A man who can follow the way of Tao’s divine law is the Sage. To be a Sage is the ultimate concern of Tao-cultivation.
