從動物解放／權力議題之探討反思我國課程綱要之環境倫理內涵

摘要

本文主要探討學校教育應如何教導環境倫理，有鑑於環境倫理牽涉的範圍相當廣泛，本文以動物議題為主要的探討對象，說明與分析各種對動物議題的觀點與論辯焦點。本文主要釐清的重點有二：其一是動物解放與動物權利兩種論述之間的爭議，其二是整體主義與個體主義的爭議。由這兩類爭議的探討揭示，出動物議題的倫理思考所蘊含的辯證與複雜，從而分析與批判目前國民學校課程綱要的相關部分及揭示課程綱要的弱點，並藉由上述探討指出，學校對於教導環境倫理可改進的空間與方向。

This paper aims to explore a feasible and desirable approach to the education of environmental ethics. In order not be lost in the very broad scope of environmental ethics, the author put the focus on the issue of animal welfare. By examining the arguments related to the issue of animal welfare, this paper reveals the complexity and dialectics involved in the ethical decisions related to environmental issues. There are two main debates which will be presented: the debate between Singer's animal liberation and Regan's animal rights, and the one between holism and individualism. The examination of the two debates provides a very good reference for analysing and rethinking our current educational practice which can be found in the current curriculum guidelines. However, the exploration of this issue sheds light on the future improvement of the present education.
