Design and Planning of Wireless Communications Networks to Minimize the Construction Cost: An Approach Using Genetic Algorithm-A Proposed Formulation

摘要


本文主要考慮有關於最佳化之載頻干擾率限制式、使用者需求限制式、及蜂巢容量限制式之無線通訊網路設計問題。建構一個無線通訊網路時主要的成本組成將被印證,包括取得蜂巢座及裝設基地台的成本、行動電話交換室的配置成本、基地台和行動電話交換室的連接成本、和許可設計之特定範圍頻譜的使用執照成本。另外,一個數學規劃模式被導出以決定系統架構下之最低建構成本。我們希望提出的演算法可以實際被運用於無線通訊網絡設計以面對的現今未解決的整體無線網絡設計問題。

In this paper, we consider the optimal wireless communications network design problem with respect to carrier-to-interference ratio constraints, user demand constraints, and cell capacity constraints. Major components of costs when constructing a wireless communications network are identified, including the costs of acquiring the cell site and installing the base station, the cost of allocating the MTSOs (Mobile Telephone Switching Offices), the cost of connecting the base stations and the MTSOs, and the license costs for permission to use designated frequency spectrum in a given region. In addition, a mathematical programming model is derived to determine the system configuration with minimum construction cost. We truly hope that the proposed algorithms could be practically applied to the unsolved overall wireless network design problem faced by wireless communications network designers today.
