從女性主義觀點探究幼教工作者之生命經驗

A Child Education Teacher's Life Experience: A Feminist Perspective

摘要


過去幾年研究者因為擔任幼兒園的輔導工作,有機會與許多幼教現場的工作者接觸,透過長時間地聆聽她們公、私領域的生命經驗,幫助研究者對於幼教工作的內涵,及幼教工作者所面對的工作處境有了更深的體會。特別是接觸女性主義相關論述後,研究者特別關注在幾乎以女性教師為主的幼教工作中,長期缺乏專業認同、無法發聲的幼教工作者,如何能看見她們在性別及教育工作邊陲的位置,進而找到讓自己增能的力量。本研究以女性主義的觀點深度訪談一位幼教工作者的生命史,探究國小行政體制的「性別階層化」、「教師專業主義的盛行」,以及「傳統性別刻板印象」對於幼教工作者的影響。並透過參與觀察她的課程教學,及與弱勢家庭的親職互動,了解幼教工作者如何突破教育性別議題的困境。最後發現以女性主義觀點出發的幼教師生命史研究,除了幫助研究者從性別的角度出發,重新理解幼教工作的內涵,並在進行研究的歷程中,得以與參與研究者學習彼此合作,開啓更平等的對話機制。

For the past several years, the researcher has worked as a kindergarten instructional supervisor and had opportunities to meet many child education teachers. Their public and private life experiences have helped the researcher to consider the essence of early childhood education, and the child education teacher's position, from a new perspective. In particular, with a feminist perspective, the researcher began to be concerned about female child education teachers who have been viewed as silent and without professional identification. This study aims to explore how they found an edge within the patriarchal culture, and empowered themselves with a feminist perspective. By in-depth interviewing about one child education teacher's life story, the researcher learned to understand her curriculum, teaching and communication with disadvantaged families. Even the child education teacher has to face the dilemma of gender politics in the hierarchical elementary education administrative system. She has finally found ways to make positive changes, along with professional development. This history not only helped the researcher to learn the essence of early childhood education from a feminist perspective, but also helped the researcher learn to cope with the subject more fairly.
