The purpose of this study was comparing that soccer players were kicking the different balls (Futsal ball and normal soccer ball) by instep side-volley shot. Ball velocity, foot velocity, their ratios, and the other kinematics parameters of human low limbs had been compared. Those parameters administered to athletes in choosing soccer shot skills on competitions. Twelve junior amateur, male soccer players (age 16.5±0.5 yrs; height=174.15±5.79 cm; weight=65.82±9.46 kg) participated in this study. We designed three kinds of ball height (the floor kicking position, 1/2 knee height kicking position, knee height kicking position), and asked for athletes kicking. Two high-speed video cameras (Redlake) were used to sample the kicking motion at the same time (250 Hz), and the low limbs' performances on three kind of kicking positions were collected. We used the Kwon 3D motion analyze system to got the kinematics by 3D-DLT. The difference between the biomechanical parameters with kicking Futsal ball and normal soccer ball performed at three kinds of ball heights were analyzed by using LSD of repeat measure one-way ANOVA. The level of significance was set at 0.05. The results as follows: Those parameters were very similar. Because Futsal ball is smaller than normal soccer ball, but heavier than normal soccer ball. It might be showing a kind of complementary phenomenon. And the results also show that in order to get powerful shots, kicking in lower positions will be the best choices.
