The purpose of this study is to discover the causal model and correlation among leadership behavior of track and field coaches, organizational commitments of athletes, and satisfaction of athletes through theoretical discussion and empirical studies. The research subjects were male and female high school athletes who participated in track and field program of the National High School Games in 2009. We distributed 400 questionnaires with 311 valid questionnaires returned. This study adopted the scale of leadership behavior of coaches, organizational commitments of athletes, and satisfaction of athletes. The collected data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 12.0 for Pearson product moment correlation and using Amos 7.0 for structural equation. The conclusions are as follows: 1. The leadership behavior of track and field coaches likes training and instruction, democratic behavior, and caring behavior positively influenced organizational commitment of athletes; however, autocratic behavior and rewarding behavior have negative impacts on organizational commitment of athletes. 2. Only training and instruction of track and field coaches' leadership behavior positively influenced the satisfaction of athletes; whereas democratic behavior, autocratic behavior, caring behavior, and rewarding behavior did not influence the satisfaction of athletes significantly. 3. Organizational commitment of athletes positively influenced the satisfaction of athletes.
