The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between the different level of constraints on the physical leisure activities of college students and peer support for participation in physical leisure activities. Data collection was conducted using quota sampling (876 valid questionnaires). The examined models were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The results indicated that the students with high leisure constraints would be encouraged in physical leisure activities if their peers offered social support. On the other hand, surprisingly, peer support was also shown to have a significant effect on students with low leisure constraints on their physical leisure activities participation. It implied that the college students might lack of self-motivation on physical leisure activities participation.
休閒運動對青少年身心發展的影響是學術研究領域長期關注的議題。已有許多研究顯示同儕社會支持對休閒運動參與有正向的影響。然而,部分研究發現並非每位青少年皆需要同儕社會支持,可能只有受休閒阻礙困擾才需要同儕的協助。據此,本研究目的以不同休閒阻礙程度大學生,探討同儕社會支持與休閒運動參與之關係。以配額抽樣與立意抽樣的方式,選取某國立科技大學學生為對象,共得876 份有效問卷。研究結果發現,學生休閒阻礙可區分成2 個群集,高度與低度休閒阻礙。高度休閒阻礙學生確實因同儕社會支持而提高其休閒運動參與。低度休閒阻礙學生的休閒運動參與不受休閒阻礙影響,同儕社會支持雖然也不太重要,但對休閒運動參與仍有些許正向幫助。
