Application of 2D Dental Image to Evaluate 3D Pulp Chamber

摘要


本論文為亞東醫院產學合作第一期研究成果,內容主要透過使用亞東醫院牙科部提供之口腔外科病患的全口數位X光影像數據,進行牙髓腔(Pulp Chamber)半自動分割軟體開發。所開發的軟體可以自動分析醫療數位影像傳輸協定(Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine, DICOM)檔案,取得該病患的資料與影像,之後透過相關的影像演算法,將該病患之患部的牙髓腔連續影像進行像素(picture element, pixel)的處理,便可取得牙髓腔的連續二值化(Thresholding)影像,最後在對該連續二值化影像進行物件化(Dynamic Object)的處理,就能得到連續的患部牙髓腔形狀與體積。

This paper is the Far Eastern Memorial Hospital (FEMH) and Oriental Institute of Technology (OIT) industry/university cooperative research. In this paper, the proposed semi-automatic pulp chamber segmentation system is proposed. The pulp chamber can be automatic segmented from Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) of Digital X-ray image with the region of interest (ROI). The experimental results show that the volume of pulp chamber can be segmented from the sequential dental images with dynamic object detection and binary processing.
