持拍運動對延緩血管老化之生理效益探討

Racket Sport Participation on Delaying Vascular Aging

摘要


背景:心血管疾病為造成死亡的主要危險因子之一,對高齡社會造成相當的社會經濟負擔;目前規律運動為降低相關死亡率有效策略,而持拍運動參與是否也具有類似健康效益,目前仍不清楚。目的:本文分別針對有氧運動對於血管功能的影響,持拍運動生理特徵、與對促進血管健康可能機制進行探討。結語:規律有氧運動參與對於血管功能普遍具有正面效益;持拍運動比賽兼具有氧與無氧的中高強度間歇運動特徵。我們預試的研究發現,長期從事高網球運動量者,動脈功能較佳,初步顯示持拍運動參與對血管功能可能也具有益處。未來可進一步分析不同持拍運動對心血管健康之效益與差異,提供不同運動型態參與的科學證據。

Background: Cardiovascular disease is a worldwide leading cause of death, resulting in a tremendous increase of social-economical burden to aged society in the near future; habitual exercise provides an effective strategy in lowering relative mortality as the present literature suggested. However, it is still unclear the benefits and efficacy resulted from racket sport participation on vasculature. Purpose: In the present paper, we reviewed relevant topics from the current literature, including exercise and vascular function, physiological characteristics of racket sports and its potential mechanisms on vascular health. Summary: We concluded habitual aerobic exercise is favorable for vascular function; racket sports, on average, are of moderate-to-high interval exercises that combine both aerobic and anaerobic components. Take tennis sport for example, our pilot study showed people who highly participate in tennis develop better arterial function, indicating racket sports might be also favorable for vasculature. Future study regarding the effects and the efficacy of different types of racket sport participation on cardiovascular functions is warranted.
