偏差行為或是抵抗的次文化？從自拍風潮思索台灣青少年現象

摘要

青少年研究與相關理論主要來自兩大傳統的影響，第一種以美國（芝加哥學派）為主，將青少年的行為視為社會整合過程中不穩定的一環，側重青少年的偏差行為如何造成社會不良的影響，甚至被當作社會風險的一種；另一種傳統由英國伯明罕文化研究中心所開展，將青少年現象視為一種抵抗的次文化，如何與成人社會的主流價值進行戰鬥與對話，並為社會帶來新的認同與生活方式。
本文研究台灣青少年所盛行的自拍現象，經由青少年（高中生與大學生）的訪談，以及青少年的自拍照為文本進行分析，剖析青少年／女如何經由自拍行為傳達對於身體的想像？如何感受別人的觀看，以建構自己的身體意像？甚至影響自我的性別認同，進而形塑出獨特的次文化？經由青少年／女的觀點，來闡釋他們自我的想像與意見，以有別於（或是澄清）成人對於自拍的看法。最終，本論文希望以台灣青少年的自拍現象，來回應傳統兩種主要對於青少年理論的立場，指出青少年文化的複雜、衝突與矛盾性，可能已經超出這兩種理論立場的解釋。

Youth studies and youth theory are based on two main traditions. One is the work of American researchers and theorists of the 'Chicago School' in the United States. This group views you as an unstable group in the process of social integration, and their research studies focus on the concept of deviance and its social consequences in youth culture. The second tradition is the British one, (from the Birmingham Centre for Contemporary Cultural Studies), which examines the youth culture as a 'resisting' sub-culture to fight against or dialogue with mainstream society. In this way, the youth culture will lead to new subjectivity, identity and lifestyle for the whole society.
This paper discusses a new youth trend in Taiwan, self-shot (or self-photography). With interviews of youth and text analysis of the photography they produce, it explores how Taiwanese young people portray their bodies, gender and identity, and how they create a special subculture. From the perspectives of the youth themselves, this paper hopes to respond to these two traditional positions on youth studies; and to point out that the culture of youth in contemporary society is always fragmented, conflicted, complex, and resistant to a single interpretation or position.
