This research aims to probe into the relationship between social support, participation motivations and exercise behaviors of female students in sports clubs in high school. This study uses a questionnaire survey and takes the female students in the Chiayi City's public high school sports clubs as the research subjects. A total of 340 questionnaires were distributed and 302 valid questionnaires, which were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe's method, Pearson correlation, and multiple stepwise regression analysis. The study results were as the following: 1. "Peer support" is the highest source of social supports among girl participants in high school athletic clubs; and "healthy fitness" is the highest participation motivations. 2. Significant differences were found in the grades and participation levels in overall social support, overall participation motivation and sports behavior. 3.The social support, participation motivations and exercise behavior were significantly and positively correlated. 4. "Coach support" of the sub-dimensions in social support and "need for achievement" of the sub-dimensions in participation motivations effectively predict exercise behavior. To conclude, this research can be used as a reference for guiding athletic clubs, and research using both quantitative and qualitative approach is suggested in the future.
