摘要

目的：本研究之目的為了解氟漆對於學齡前兒童唾液中變異型鏈球菌數量之影響。材料及方法：三十位學齡前四到六歲之兒童參予本研究，沒有齲齒且定期做口腔檢查，隨機分為對照組及實驗組，兩組在研究開始前有接受檢查、口腔衛教及利用變異型鏈球菌試劑檢測唾液內之變異型鏈球菌數量，實驗組則接受氟漆塗氟，三個月後兩組再次檢測唾液內變異型鏈球菌數量，比較塗氟後唾液內變異型鏈球菌數量之變化並統計分析氟漆對唾液內變異型鏈球菌數量之影響。結果：結果顯示實驗組唾液內變異型鏈球菌數量有明顯減少，對照組則沒有影響。結論：使用氟漆後三個月唾液內變異型鏈球菌數量有明顯減少，可做為臨床上預防齲齒之有效之方法。

Aims: The aim of this study was to estimate the counts of Streptococcus mutans and to evaluate the effect of fluoride varnish on these counts in the saliva of children using Dentocult SM Strip Mutans.Materials and Methods: Thirty caries-free subjects were selected for the study based on the information obtained from a questionnaire and were randomly assigned to the control group consisting of fifty subjects and the study group consisting of fifty subjects. Saliva samples were collected on the strips from the Dentocult SM kit and after incubation, the presence of Streptococcus mutans was evaluated using the manufacturer's chart. The study group was subjected to a Duraphat fluoride varnish application following which the samples were collected again after 3 months.Results: There was a statistically significant reduction in the saliva Streptococcus mutans counts after the application of fluoride varnish.Conclusion: The results showed that the study group had a statistically significant reduction in the saliva Streptococcus mutans counts than the control group after three months.
