Horizontal Impaction of Successor Tooth Caused by Chronic Apical Inflammation of Primary Tooth: A Case Report

摘要

經過牙髓治療的乳牙仍可能持續慢性發炎，若未及時介入處理，可能造成繼生齒生長萌發問題。本病例報告為九歲六個月女孩，來院初診時左下第一乳臼齒已有根尖周圍炎，但病患未回診治療，三年半後門診回診左下第一小臼齒已呈水平阻生。我們拔除乳臼齒後以迷你骨釘合併全口矯正將小臼齒拉出，將牙齒排列整齊並達理想咬合。

Chronic inflammation of endodontically treated primary tooth may gradually progress. Developmental problems of the successor may happen without timely intervention. We present a case of 9-year-6 month-old girl with apical periodontitis of mandibular left first primary molar when she first visited our OPD. The patient didn't show up for scheduled appointment. After three and half years, the patient came back to our OPD and the mandibular left first premolar was horizontally impacted. Primary molar was extracted and then comprehensive orthodontic treatment with miniscrew was performed to tract the premolar, aligned the teeth and accomplished normal occlusion.
