Management of an Avulsed Maxillary Permanent Central Incisor - A Case Report
上顎正中門齒脫出性外傷之處理－病例報告
摘要
Managing avulsed permanent teeth is challenging to the clinician because of the poor prognosis and unpredictable treatment outcome. This report presents a clinical case of an 11 years old boy who suffered from avulsion of right maxillary central incisor. Treatment guidelines for avulsed mature permanent teeth were followed. The avulsed tooth was replanted and root canal treatment carried out after a short fixation. The result obtained was very satisfactory and the teeth remain in good functional status 18 months after replantation. The clinical and radiographic findings revealed absence of root resorption, ankylosis or mobility of the replanted tooth. However, the success of this case needs longer observation.
