In this article, we classify the mechanism of minority rights protection into treaty protection, parliamentary declaration, diplomatic measure, and administrative assistance within the European Union. While introducing the regime, we will also examine the challenges that have emerged when exercised. In addition, we will look into what the Council of Europe and the Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe (formerly Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe) have offered for the protection. Finally, we will explore the interrelations among the three international organizations in terms of how minority rights are protected.
