Secure and Efficient Cloud Data Deduplication Supporting Dynamic Data Public Auditing

Secure data deduplication, which can reduce the amount of storage cost in the cloud by eliminating duplicate data copies, has been widely used in industry and academia. At the same time, as the outsourced cloud storage server is not fully credible, it will cause data destruction when the user puts the the encrypted data in the cloud. There-fore, we present a secure and efficient cloud data deduplication scheme supporting dynamic data public auditing. Compared with the prior systems, our system has two ad- vantages. Firstly, the proposed scheme has a high performance in terms of data equality test by using the decision tree, as the server can reduce the time complexity of deduplication equality test from linear to logarithmic over the whole data items in the database. Secondly, the proposed scheme can reduce the computation cost of searching a data block from linear to logarithmic by using relative index of a node and also support data modification, insertion, append and deletion procedure.
