國際賽事成績對中華職棒觀賞影響之探討

摘要

國內外探究影響職棒觀眾人數之影響文獻眾多，但僅有少數探討國際賽事成績對觀眾人數之影響。本研究目的在探討中華職棒歷年觀眾人數與國際運動賽會之間的關連性，首先透過文獻分析法，整理影響職業運動觀眾進場人數之相關研究，並綜合整理歷年來中華職棒聯盟進場觀眾人數與中華隊在國際賽事成績表現，將中華職棒觀眾人數與國際賽成績之關連性及其背後所代表的意義進行探討。結果顯示，影響職棒觀眾人數之變項錯綜複雜，但優異的國際賽事成績應該是一個重要影響因素，其背後代表的國族感、運動全球化影響了棒球運動的發展，特別是棒球經典賽及亞、奧運會的棒球賽事，中華隊在相關賽事的成績表現，牽動了球迷進場看中華職棒賽事的意願。

There were many researches about reasons spectators attended professional baseball games, but few researches discussed the influence of international event results to the amount of spectators. The purposes of this study was to discuss the correlation between the amount of spectators of CPBL and international event results of Chinese Taipei baseball team. The study used literature review to understand the spectators’ motivation of professional sports, and then collected the data of the amount of spectators of CPBL and international event results of Chinese Taipei baseball team, and discussed the correlation and meaning between them. The results showed the reasons influenced spectators were complicated, but good performance in international event of Chinese Taipei baseball team could be an important reason, the ethnocentrism, and globalization of sport influenced the development of baseball, especially, the performance of Chinese Taipei baseball team in World Baseball Classic games, Asian Games, Olympic Games had a huge influence to the willingness of spectators attended the CPBL games.
