摘要

癌症病人從罹病、治療、癒後至追蹤的各階段，會經歷因癌症產生的症狀經驗，症狀經驗常使癌症病人處於受苦的感覺，造成病人情緒低落，進而影響疾病進展及存活。然而，過去的文獻，並未對癌症病人的症狀經驗做有系統的分析，故本文依據Walker和Avant（2010）概念分析步驟，確認症狀經驗的定義、定義性特徵、先決條件、後果及實證性參考資料。結果歸納出癌症病人症狀經驗之定義特徵包括症狀的發生及症狀困擾。先決條件包括人口學因素、疾病因素及個人因素。症狀經驗的後果會造成疾病因應、情緒反應、自我照顧、疾病進展、生活品質及存活。症狀經驗是一種受苦經歷，臨床護理人員對症狀經驗的概念了解，能增進癌症病人的照護，提升癌症病人的生活品質。

At different times, cancer patients suffer from various symptoms resulting from the cancer diagnosis, the treatment, the completion of treatment, and regular follow-ups. As a result of experiencing these symptoms, patients may also experience suffering and symptoms of depression, which may in turn even result in poor disease progression and survival. However, no systematic analysis of symptom experiences is currently available. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to describe a concept of symptom experiences. Using the concept analysis methodology of Walker and Avant (2010), the authors sought to clarify the conceptual definitions, characteristic attributes, antecedents and consequences, and empirical references of symptom experiences. The results indicated that the characteristic attributes of symptom experiences include the occurrence of the given symptom and distress perceptions regarding the symptom. The antecedents of symptom experiences include demographic, disease, and individual factors. The consequences of symptom experiences include coping with the illness, mood responses, self care, disease progression, quality of life, and survival. The experience of symptoms entails suffering. Nursing staff members to understand this concept more fully and thereby improve the quality of life for cancer patients.
