全球化時代臺灣通識教育的因應策略

Coping Strategies for Taiwan's General Education in the Wake of Globalization

摘要


「全球化」的浪潮襲捲全球,成為一個全人類無法逃避的現象,影響所及包括政治、經濟、文化、教育與社會等方面。而通識教育如何因應全球化所帶來的衝擊,則為本文關注的重心。是故,本文旨在從通識教育的理念、課程與教學等層面提出全球化時代臺灣通識教育的因應策略。在通識教育理念的因應策略如:(1)持續強調通識教育在全球化時代的重要性;(2)釐清全球化時代通識教育的目標;(3)體認全球化時代通識教育的理想是陶養整全的人。在課程與教學的因應策略如:(1)著重本土性的通識課程;(2)強調公民教育領域的通識課程;(3)強調全球化、本土化及個別化三者兼重的學習;(4)提升全球化時代通識教師本身的通識素養;(5)開設全英語的通識課程。

This essay focuses on how to cope with the impact of globalization on general education. Hence, it aims to explore the coping strategies for Taiwan general education in the era of globalization from the level of idea, curriculum and teaching described. First, the level of idea is as follows: (1) continuing emphasis on the importance of general education in the era of globalization, (2) to clarify the general education goals in the era of globalization, and (3) to understand the ideal of general education in the era of globalization is to cultivate the holistic person. Second, the level of curriculum and teaching explores: (1) emphasis on the local nature of general curriculum, (2) emphasis on general education courses in the field of civic education, (3) emphasis on three concurrently globalization, localization and individualization learning, (4) to understand the ideal of general education in the era of globalization is to cultivate the holistic person, and (5) to develop all English course of general education.
