On 24 December 2006, the Raptor Research Group of Taiwan banded an adult male Common Kestrel (Falco tinnunculus) in Tianliaoyang of northeastern Taiwan. This Kestrel was banded with a metal ring and a radio transmitter. During 2006 winter, I was employed by RRGT to track and record this kestrel until it disappeared in April 2007. This kestrel came back to Tianliaoyang in following winters until 2009. In total it returned to the same wintering ground for consecutive four years, showing strong wintering site fidelity.
