Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a disorder of the neuromuscular junction that affects communication between the motor neuron and the innervated muscle cell. Now recognized as an autoimmune disease, the disorder is caused by antibody-mediated loss of acetylcholine receptors in the neuromuscular junction. Treatment methods include the use of pharmacologic agents; immunosuppressive therapy, including corticosteroid drugs; management of myasthenic crisis; thymectomy; and plasmapheresis or intravenous immune globulin. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) defines Myasthenia Gravis as ”Wei zheng” or flaccidity syndrome, and is considered to be due to spleen and kidney qi deficiency, and blood stasis. We used Chinese herbs in our treatment of MG and followed by the Quantum Xrroid Consciousness Index (QXCI) for biofeedback treatment. Oxalis corniculata L. was also given for complementary homeopathic therapy. The patient had a good response after six treatments.
